Brides dream of the perfect wedding and the perfect wedding cake…but here’s why maybe you should never serve cake at a wedding!
Sure, it looks nice and pretty, but it’s a waste of time and money.
Wedding cakes usually taste bland and stale. And the WORST wedding cake trend, according to Delish, is the Naked Cake which has very little or NO icing at all! That’s a problem … the icing is what gives the cake its moisture and sometimes flavor! Why do without it?!
Another reason to not serve cake at a wedding is the fact that most guests don’t even notice it! And sometimes never finish eating it. Either because they’re too busy dancing or most likely do not like the taste of it. Bakeries charge thousands of dollars on wedding cakes anyway!
So you can save a huge chunk of money if you remove it from the equation But if you must have that photo opp of the bride and groom with dessert — No worries! There are other alternatives. Such as cupcakes, cookies, pies, ice creams, chocolate fountains and more.
